Star Ocean: The Second Story R Story:
Star Ocean The Second Story R
takes place in 2452, 20 years after the initial game. It features 2 heroes,
Claude who serves as a human space federation officer, & Rena, who is a
local lady.
During exploration of a creature
world, Claude finds a bizarre relic that sends him into another world where
Rena lives.
Claude will front dangerous
creatures on this planet. Together with Rena & other characters, he must
complete his prophecy & protect the recently discovered planet.
Star Ocean: The Second Story R Gameplay:
The remake reuses the gameplay
elements of the original. It falls into a Japanese role-playing action game that
lets users discover the planet, finish missions, improve heroes & battle
rivals via an arcade battle system.
Before beginning the game, users
need to select their playable hero b/w man & woman that will affect the
narrative & hireable friends. Both of them will play their role in battle,
together with multiple friends. Only one hero can be directly controlled in the
game. The remaining are controlled by artificial intelligence & influenced
by easy commands.
In b/w fights & escapades, users
can establish relationships with their group members via private action system,
allowing them to unlock different endings.
