Roots of Yggdrasil Gameplay:
This game is set on a fantasy
world that takes inspiration from Norse myth. Ragnarok has ended, the gods are
no more, & the World Tree has been shattered. The shards of the 9 planets
remains are floating freely in space, & now dark forces are consuming them
one after another.
During gameplay, users will play
as a Viking tribe that is caught in a time loop. The tribe traverses from one
shard to another, builds settlements on them, & then runs away to another
location, in order to avoid the dark forces getting closer to them. Hence, the
tribe revives the roots of the World Tree by progressively reviving its roots
with a hope to flee the loop & restore the ruined world.
The action of this game is seen
from a bird’s eye perspective. Users can acquire raw materials & build
bases on the 9 planets. As users discover the planets, they will find populations
of those specific planets, interacting with them not just increase our depth of
knowledge of the planets, but also affect their gameplay style.
